3dmark - Test Online

If you absolutely cannot or will not download software—perhaps you are on a work laptop, a Chromebook, or a restricted PC—then you need browser-based alternatives. These are NOT 3DMark, but they serve a similar purpose for lightweight testing.

Scenario: You are in a library with a new Intel laptop and want to see if it can play Fortnite.
Solution: Use Basemark Web 3.0 in the Chrome browser. It will give you a rough estimate. If it scores poorly, the integrated GPU is too weak.

If you search for "3DMark test online," you will find a lot of fake "GPU score calculators" and phishing sites. You cannot run native 3DMark rendering inside a Chrome tab. A true 3DMark benchmark requires DirectX 12 Ultimate or Vulkan hardware acceleration, which web browsers cannot fully emulate.

However, "Online" can also mean "Remote." There is a legitimate way to test a remote PC’s GPU using 3DMark via the cloud. If you absolutely cannot or will not download

If you want a real score, you must download 3DMark from Steam or the official UL Solutions website. The good news is that once you run the test locally, the "online" part kicks in immediately.

  • Free version available (Basic Edition) — includes Time Spy and Night Raid.
  • Scenario: You just bought an RTX 3060 from Facebook Marketplace.
    Solution: Download 3DMark (free) and run Time Spy. Compare your score online to the average RTX 3060 score. If you are 20% lower, the card could be a fake, throttling due to bad paste, or dying.
    Online Test? No – download required. But the comparison is online.

    As interest in "3dmark test online" rises, so do malicious websites. Beware of these red flags:
