3dmgame.ini -

At its core, 3dmgame.ini is a plain text configuration file used by a specific, notorious warez group known as 3DM. 3DM is a Chinese-based cracking group that rose to prominence around 2013-2014, famously cracking the then-unbreakable Denuvo Anti-Tamper technology.

When 3DM cracks a game, they repackage the executable and include a custom dynamic link library (DLL) and an initialization (INI) file to bypass licensing checks. The 3dmgame.ini file typically resides in the game’s root directory (where the main .exe file is located).

File Location Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cracked Game\3dmgame.ini 3dmgame.ini

If your game is in Chinese (or another language you don't understand) and you cannot find an in-game option to change it, check the .ini file.

  • Save the file (Ctrl+S) and launch the game.

  • Inside the file, you will often see a line like AppId=123450. At its core, 3dmgame

Where are my saves? Look for another line in the .ini:

3DM rose to prominence by cracking games protected by advanced DRM systems, including early versions of Denuvo Anti-Tamper. The group often released their cracks with a custom launcher or accompanying files, one of which was 3dmgame.ini. Save the file (Ctrl+S) and launch the game

You launch a game from a "backup" source. It is entirely in Chinese. You cannot navigate the menus to change it to English. Solution: Open 3dmgame.ini, find Language=schinese, change it to Language=english. Save the file. Relaunch.

If you must use a crack:

Language = tchinese ; Traditional Chinese
    ; Language = english ; English
    ; Language = japanese ; Japanese

Because 3DM is a Chinese group, the default language is usually Chinese (Simplified or Traditional). If you download a game and the menus are in Mandarin, this is the first file you edit. Uncomment (remove the ;) the line for english and comment out the Chinese line.
