Plugin Sketchup | Artlantis
Before diving into the plugin mechanics, let's establish the target. Artlantis, developed by Abvent (now part of Groupe Hunter), is a standalone standalone rendering application. Unlike V-Ray or Lumion, which often run as live viewports inside SketchUp, Artlantis operates externally.
You model in SketchUp. You export via the plugin. You render in Artlantis. artlantis plugin sketchup
This separation has a massive advantage: Stability. You never crash your SketchUp model because you applied a complex glass shader or turned on radiosity. Before diving into the plugin mechanics, let's establish

Change your SU model? The plugin allows you to update the existing Artlantis project – keeping materials, lights, and environments while refreshing only the geometry. No need to redo settings from scratch.
Sometimes you want to ignore SketchUp colors and do a "White Model" render. In Artlantis, you can use the "Material > Shift" filter, but the plugin makes this easier: Before exporting, give all walls a generic "White Paint" texture in SketchUp. When the plugin exports that texture, you have a clean white base to paint with Artlantis shaders later.
