This is generally impossible. Autodesk does not support backward compatibility. You must use _AECCTRANSMIT (in 2024) to "Export to Civil 3D 2012" – but this only works if you didn't use features invented after 2012 (like Subassembly Composer 2.0 parts or Corridor Solids).

Corridors (roads, highways, channels) became more intelligent. The 2012 version allowed for baseline offset targeting and better transition logic for lane widening. The "Frequency" control gave users more granularity over where cross-sections were calculated, reducing file bloat.
