Problem Solved: MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) users experienced severe lag when selecting, moving, or copying fabrication parts (ductwork, pipe fittings). A project with hundreds of fabrication hangers could become unusable.

After a hotfix, many third-party add-ins (PyRevit, DiRoots, Enscape, etc.) may become disabled because the hotfix overwrote the AddinManager or API assemblies.

Solution:

Before applying any Revit 2022 hotfix:

  • Close Revit – All Revit sessions must be closed.
  • Disable antivirus temporarily (may block patching process).
  • Backup – Backup your Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2022 folder and any user datashapes.
  • Admin rights – Required for writing to Program Files and registry.
