Technical Manual - Becsys5 Installation And

BECSys5 (Building Energy Control System 5) represents the fifth generation of integrated building management systems (BMS) designed for mid-to-large-scale commercial and industrial facilities. Unlike legacy systems that rely on fragmented hardware and proprietary communication protocols, BECSys5 is built on a fully converged IT/OT architecture, supporting BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, MQTT, and RESTful APIs.

This manual serves three primary audiences:

Before proceeding, verify that your BECSys5 package includes: becsys5 installation and technical manual

Note: Factory-calibrated modules (±0.1%) – recalibration required only if >1% drift suspected.

The BECSys5 system uses a tiered backplane. Modules must be inserted from left to right, starting with the power supply module. Before proceeding , verify that your BECSys5 package

| Slot | Module Type | Model Example | Purpose | |------|-------------|----------------|---------| | 0 | Power Supply | BPS-500W | System power distribution | | 1 | CPU/Controller | BEC5-CPU-2 | Main batch logic processor | | 2 | Network Gateway | BEC5-NET-ETH | Industrial Ethernet (Profinet/EtherNet/IP) | | 3 | Analog Input | BEC5-AI-16 | 16 channels, 4-20 mA / 0-10V | | 4 | Digital Output | BEC5-DO-32 | 32 channels, 24 VDC sourcing | | 5 | RTD Input | BEC5-RTD-8 | 8 channels, PT100 3-wire |

Important: Never hot-swap modules while the chassis is powered. Always disconnect the main 24 VDC supply before removal.

The heart of BECSys5 is its batch engine, compliant with ISA-88 standards.
