Snapshot creation and restoration times are now ~30% faster on NVMe storage. This is a direct result of optimizing the disk I/O scheduler within the Bootcamp hypervisor layer. Rolling back to a "clean" state between exercises should now feel near-instantaneous.
Is Bootcamp 6.1.7931 the end of the road? For native Windows on a 2016–2017 Mac, yes. However, several community projects have extended its life:
