Video game studios now produce entertainment that rivals the production value of film. In fact, many game adaptations (like The Last of Us) are now being turned into TV shows by traditional studios.
Under the visionary direction of Hayao Miyazaki, Ghibli produces hand-drawn masterpieces like Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro. Their productions are slower, emotional, and philosophical—a direct counter to Western fast-paced animation.
Known for Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar produces open-world epics with cinematic writing, voice acting, and sound design that surpass most action films.
