If the objective is a puzzle (arrange three embers on pedestals):

Exit immediately after the cooldown starts; the back exit opens automatically. If blocked, return to the vent lever and toggle it once more.

Because this is a "hot" walkthrough focusing on the intense survival route, you cannot save everyone. You have to choose a "Survivor Core."
