If you’ve been searching for “Canon PIXMA TS9550 test” , you’re probably in the same boat I was: You want a home office printer that doesn’t scream “office,” but you also refuse to pay a fortune on ink every month. After spending two weeks torturing this glossy white beauty, here’s my honest, no-fluff test report.

Buy it if: You are a mixed-media artist, a real estate agent needing A3 walkthroughs, or a parent who wants to create massive photo collages for birthdays. The quality for the price is unmatched in the "home" segment.

The test wouldn't be complete without discussing the ink. The TS9550 uses the ChromaLife100 system. While the print quality is high, inkjets are notoriously thirsty.
However, the printer supports XL cartridges. During our heavy testing week—which involved about 100 A4 pages and 15 A3 prints—the ink levels dipped, but not alarmingly so. For a small business, the cost per page is reasonable provided you buy the XL yields. It is not, however, a laser printer; if you are printing 500 pages of text a day, the running costs will mount up.
