No. Never do an OTA (Over-The-Air) update on a jailbroken device. You will lose the jailbreak and potentially bootloop. Restore via iTunes/Finder if you want to update.
sudo dd if=checkn1x-1.0.6-amd64.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M status=progress
(Replace /dev/sdX with your actual USB device – be extremely careful not to overwrite your main disk)
If version 1.0.6 does not work for your device, consider:
Checkn1x is not meant to be used in a virtual machine (USB passthrough is unreliable for DFU timing). You must write the ISO to a USB drive and boot from it.
diskutil list
Yes, but you need the arm64 version of Checkn1x, not the amd64. The AMD64 ISO will not boot on Apple Silicon.
The safest and most reliable source for this ISO is the official GitHub repository. As of this writing, the maintainer’s release page can be found by searching "asentientbot checkn1x releases" (direct links are avoided here for security, but you can easily locate the official GitHub mirror).
