Before applying any crack, you must update the game. The "new" cracks are version-specific. Download cm0102_v3.9.68.exe (found on the official Championship Manager 01/02 Fan Site). Install it. Fast forward to 2024. Most laptops don't have optical drives. Even desktop users have abandoned DVD-ROMs. Furthermore, Windows 10 and 11 have tightened security on "ring 0" DRM (drivers that access hardware directly). The result? The original CD check fails, or Windows blocks the game entirely.
Enter the No-CD crack. This is a modified cm0102.exe file that has been hex-edited to bypass the disc check. It tells the game, "Yes, the CD is spinning," even when it isn't.
