Cyan Brain is a decadent sci-fi side-scrolling action shooter developed by NEKOUJI STUDIO. The game follows an amnesiac huntress navigating a dystopian ruin filled with grotesque machines and aberrations. Core Gameplay Mechanics

Dynamic Damage: Your character’s outfit gradually tears as you take damage, reflecting increasing vulnerability.

Defeat System: Losing a battle triggers unique animated execution scenes and rewards the player with collectible Death Cards.

Set in a "church-caused apocalypse," the protagonist is a rebuilt hunter carrying a sacred fetus. The narrative explores themes of despair and devotion as she searches for truth among ruins. The "Cyan" effect has been overhauled. In earlier builds, it was purely visual. Now, it’s mechanical. As your exposure to the cyan light increases (by lingering in lit areas without solving puzzles), the game begins to strip away your HUD, invert your controls temporarily, and even replace sound files with corrupted static. The demo 8.1 introduces a "Saturation Meter" hidden in the pause menu. At 100% saturation, the Demo 8.1 forces a unique game over where the player character’s model is replaced by a cyan-lit skeleton.
