Because BNA is EOL, you cannot find it on a public, "click-to-download" page like a typical open-source tool. Brocade (now Broadcom) has moved all legacy software to their Broadcom Support Portal, which requires a valid support contract or a registered corporate email.

Q1: Is Brocade Network Advisor free?
A: No. It was always a paid product. Only 45-day trials were ever freely available.

Q2: Can I download BNA directly from Broadcom without a contract?
A: No. You need a registered account with an active support entitlement or an approved trial request.

Q3: What is the final version of BNA?
A: Version 14.4.2 (released March 2020). No further updates exist.

Q4: Will BNA run on Windows 11 or macOS?
A: It may run on Windows 11 with severe Java tweaks, but it is unsupported. macOS support ended with BNA 12.x.

Q5: How do I migrate from BNA to SANnav?
A: Use the migration_tool included with SANnav 2.x. It extracts fabrics, zones, aliases, and even historical performance data (if the BNA database is accessible).

Q6: I just need to zone one Brocade switch. Do I need BNA?
A: No. Use the CLI (via SSH) or Web Tools. For single switches, BNA is overkill.
