The RNS 315 navigation system (found in VW, Seat, Skoda, and some Audi models) is showing its age. The V.4 map update is one of the last official releases, and using an SD card is the only practical DIY method. Here is the honest reality of the process.

The file structure: Once downloaded, you should see a folder named something like \maps\00\ or a single metainfo2.txt file plus a \data\ folder. Do not rename any files. The RNS 315 looks for specific hash values.
