If you are building a modern gaming PC with an RTX graphics card or a B550 motherboard, DriverPack 14.6 will be useless. It has no knowledge of hardware released after 2014.
It contains thousands of driver variants for hundreds of manufacturers—Realtek, Broadcom, Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and more. Every model, revision, and OS variant is included.
For technicians working on older machines running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, the driver databases in newer tools sometimes "forget" older hardware in favor of modern components. Version 14.6 is optimized for hardware prevalent during the 2013–2015 era, making it highly effective for older laptops and desktops that refuse to connect to the internet due to missing LAN/Wi-Fi drivers.
Version 14.6 still fully supports Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1, in addition to Windows 10. It also has limited support for Windows XP and Vista. Newer offline packs often drop legacy OS driver support entirely.
DriverPack’s official website no longer highlights version 14.6, but it remains on their legacy CDN. You can locate the offline ISO via their official mirror system:
Later versions of DriverPack Solution gained notoriety for bundling browser toolbars, antivirus trials, and system optimizers that auto-install unless carefully deselected. Version 14.6, when obtained from original sources or untouched archives, typically installs only drivers and a simple launcher.
