Sometimes the NVG is bound to the wrong key or the key is not detected.
If it is ARC9, check the settings in the Q menu > Utilities > ARC9 Options.
Remove the old NVG files. If you had the previous broken version, delete ellie_nova_nvg.pak and ellie_nova_nvg.sig.
Install the fixed version. Copy the new ellie_nova_nvg_fixed.pak into the ~mods folder.
Override texture conflicts. If prompted, replace any existing textures. The fixed version includes an updated T_ellie_nvg_dif array.
Launch and test. Start the game, equip Ellie with the "Night Vision Gear" accessory slot, and press the default NVG toggle (usually N or Z). You should see a crisp, green-tinted overlay confined to the goggles, with no black screen.
Environments: rural, urban, maritime (with corrosion-resistant finishes), cold-weather spec to at least −20°C.
Integration: works with helmet mounts, weapon sights (with boresighting), and recording modules (if digital output available).
Most modern weapon addons (including the Ellie Nova) rely on a base pack to function. If the NVG isn't working, you are likely missing the required base.
