| Error Message | Likely Cause | Solution | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | "License type mismatch" | You are trying to install an iRMC S3 license on an S4 server. | Purchase the correct S4 key. | | "Chassis ID not found" | Server motherboard was replaced. | You must request a re-host license from Fujitsu (requires proof of repair). | | "Invalid signature" | The XML file is corrupted or edited. | Request a fresh license file from your distributor. Do not open it in Word. | | "Upload fails at 99%" | Browser TLS or caching issue. | Use Firefox (most compatible with older iRMC). Clear cache. Try HTTP instead of HTTPS (if enabled). | | License disappears after reboot | iRMC firmware bug or NVRAM failure. | Update iRMC firmware to the latest version (v2.60+). | Note: map1 is the Management Access Point 1
If you need the actual license key purchase or evaluation request, contact Fujitsu sales or a reseller – keys are not generically available for free.
The most significant "feature" of installing the license key is that it transforms the iRMC S4 from a standard management interface into an enterprise-grade remote administration tool, specifically by unlocking the Advanced Video Engine (AVE).
