La versión más difundida y reportada por la policía es la siguiente: Gabriel Kuhn pidió prestada la cuenta de Daniel Petry en el juego para subir de nivel y ganar monedas virtuales. Le prometió pagarle una cierta cantidad de dinero real (algunas fuentes mencionan 20.000 reales brasileños, que era el valor estimado de la moneda virtual, aunque esto es debatido) a cambio del acceso.
