Version 1.7 was the final "classic" release before Bitfield Software disappeared from the web. It fixed the 256-color palette bug and added support for Windows 95 and NT 4.0. It is lightweight (~500KB), requires no installer (just drag the .EXE), and frankly, modern dithering plugins are too clean. Halfter 1.7 is gloriously noisy.
