Raghav opened his laptop at 2:13 AM. The room smelled of rain-soaked Mumbai and cheap rum. On the screen, a single folder sat on his desktop, one he hadn’t created.

2. The First Click

Raghav didn’t sleep. He clicked through the index like a man possessed.

01. The Betrayer – Sanjay M. showed his own brother, Sanjay, burning a stack of passports in a warehouse. Their father’s warehouse. He saw himself. Last Thursday. Standing outside Zara’s apartment. She was screaming inside. He heard her. He knew someone was hurting her. And he walked away. Because he was afraid of what he’d find. Because cowardice had a comfortable shape, and he had worn it for years.

3. The Rules

Raghav drove to Ravi’s flat in the rain. He didn’t plan violence. But when Ravi opened the door and saw Raghav’s face, he didn’t deny it.

“They said they’d kill my daughter,” Ravi whispered. “You don’t know what you’re in, Raghav. That index? It’s not a list. It’s a trap. Whoever opens it becomes the next name.”

“What do you mean?”

Ravi looked at the laptop bag in Raghav’s hand. His eyes went wide. “You opened it. Oh God. You opened it, didn’t you?”

The lights in Ravi’s flat flickered. Then died. In the dark, Raghav heard a soft click — not from the door, but from inside the walls. A second later, Ravi screamed. A single gunshot. Then silence.

When the emergency lights flickered on, Ravi lay on the floor. And on the wall behind him, written in red marker: “Index updated. 23. The Witness – Ravi Seth (deceased).”

5. The Ghost

Raghav ran. He didn’t go home. He went to the only place that made sense — the warehouse from Sanjay’s video. It was empty now. But in the back office, he found a single computer. On its screen: the same index. But this one was different.

6. Epilogue

Six months later, a journalist in Delhi found a strange folder on a public server. No source. No encryption. Just a list of names, videos, confessions, and crimes. It went viral in twelve hours.

Among the files was a video of a man named Raghav, sitting in a dark room, crying, saying: “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to start this. I just wanted to know who hurt me. I didn’t know I would hurt everyone.”

Below the video, a note:
