While the "ongoing" status means you will hit a wall (literally and narratively) after about 4-6 hours of play, the journey is exquisitely dreadful. The remake’s 0.60 update solves the combat issues that plagued earlier builds and introduces a sanity system that feels organic to the setting rather than tacked on.
