When a new version is released, backward compatibility is a primary concern. Verification agencies must update their parsing software to read the new format. If "Version 63" introduces a new checksum algorithm, older software may erroneously flag a valid ID as fraudulent.
After installation, run:
ism --version
Must return: ISM v6.63 (build 2025-11-04) verified ism v6 version 63 download verified
If you see 6.62, 6.64, or unknown build, delete the file immediately—it is not authentic.
