That said, on PvP or anarchy servers, the 3.0 is celebrated as high art. It forces players to walk with fear, to tap every block with a tool, and to never trust a beautiful floor. It restores a sense of consequence to the game.
Unlike the 2.0, which dropped victims onto sharp spikes (killing them instantly and destroying loot), the 3.0 defaults to a Hay Bale + Slime Block landing zone. This means you can trap players alive or capture rare mobs for your zoo.
The biggest flaw with traditional piston traps is the delay. A player steps on a pressure plate, the signal travels through repeaters, and by the time the piston extends, the player has already walked two blocks away. The Lovely Craft 3.0 utilizes observer block mechanics to remove that delay. The moment the pressure plate is triggered, the pistons fire instantly. The victim has zero time to escape.
