The royal guru Kripacharya is replaced by the mighty Dronacharya (Drona), who demands that his disciple Ekalavya pay his thumb as guru dakshina. The famous "bird’s eye" scene (where Arjuna alone sees the eye of the toy bird) establishes Arjuna as Drona’s favorite. Duryodhana fuels the jealousy, and the Kaurava-Pandava rivalry becomes institutionalized.

Duryodhan refuses to return even a needlepoint of land. Krishna goes as the peace emissary to Hastinapur. In Episode 93, Krishna offers a final compromise: just five villages for the five Pandavas. Duryodhan’s response? “I will not give them enough land to pierce a needle.” Krishna shows his Vishvarupa (cosmic form) in Duryodhan’s court. But Duryodhan remains blind with arrogance. Episode 94 ends with both sides preparing for war. Bhishma, Dronacharya, Karna, and the Pandavas stand on the field of Kurukshetra. The thunder of conches begins.
