Mdaemon Default Admin Password -

After securing your admin password, take these additional steps:


Start the service again. The Admin account will now have no password. Log in immediately and set a new strong password.

Many people ask for the default MDaemon admin password because they are confusing three different things:

Additionally, some third-party control panels (like cPanel, Plesk, or ISPmanager) that integrate MDaemon may inject their own default passwords. If you installed MDaemon via a hosting control panel, check that panel's documentation instead.


There are two distinct areas where default credentials are relevant: the Windows software interface and the web-based administration panels (WebAdmin). Start the service again

It is a common misconception that because the password is "blank," it is difficult to guess. In reality, automated botnets scan the internet constantly for open mail ports. They specifically target common ports (like 3000, 25, 587) and attempt to log in with the username admin and a blank password.

Risks of leaving the default password:


A: Ask the previous admin. If unavailable, use the Accounts.ini deletion method described above (requires local admin rights on the Windows server).
