Before attempting to download or install the software, ensure your computer meets the specifications. The Xir P8668 uses the Motorola Professional Radio CPS, which is not compatible with the old “Business Radio” CPS or the consumer “Tone Remote” software. Cable Note: You cannot use a standard micro-USB cable. The P8668 requires a high-quality USB programming cable that includes a level shifter chip (often FTDI-based). Cheap eBay cables cause “Device not recognized” errors 80% of the time. "Codeplug Version Mismatch":
