The Oktay New Transkripsiyon font was last updated around 2018. The academic community is slowly moving to variable fonts and full OpenType feature sets. However, due to its entrenched user base (thousands of theses, articles, and books), it is unlikely to disappear. For now, it remains the gold standard.
