In 2010, a small label called "Classic Video" announced a box set: "Os Trapalhões – A Era de Ouro (1977-1982)" . It promised remastered audio and deleted scenes from O Cangaceiro Trapalhão (where Didi's character had a tragic ending that was cut).
The Tragedy: The project was killed when the four heirs' estates (Didi, Dedé, Mussum, Zacarias) could not agree on the music rights. The songs by composers like Moraes Moreira and Alceu Valença were too expensive to license. Only 3 test-press DVDs were made. One exists in a private collector's vault in São Paulo. He has never uploaded it, fearing legal action. This is the "best" DVD that no one can have.
