The Rule: Keep your average correlation above 0. Occasional dips into negative territory for snare hits or synth stabs are fine, but sustained negative correlation will collapse your mix.
At its core, Ozone Imager 2 is a stereo width manipulation plugin developed by iZotope. It is the standalone, streamlined version of the imager module found in Ozone 8 and Ozone 9. The biggest danger of any stereo widener is phase cancellation. When you widen a signal, you are creating differences between the left and right channels. When summed to mono, these differences can cancel each other out.
