Version 2.7 is not a marketing number. In semantic versioning, major version changes (e.g., 2.0 to 3.0) indicate breaking changes. Minor versions (2.x) add functionality. The ".7" indicates seven major iterative improvements since Plan IQ 2.0 was released. Key enhancements in 2.7 include:

Ready to get started? Here is a basic workflow for new users of version 2.7.

Step 1: Import Your Schedule Launch Plan IQ 2.7. Click File > Import > Primavera P6 (XER). Navigate to your file. The new parser will automatically detect the project start date and calendar.

Step 2: Run the Health Check Navigate to the DCMA 14-Point widget. Click Analyze. Within seconds, the heatmap will appear.

Step 3: Configure the Risk Engine Go to the Risk tab. Unlike previous versions, 2.7 uses a "Wizard" to ask you simple questions:

Step 4: Interpret the Tornado Graph After the Monte Carlo run, look at the Tornado Graph. This bar chart shows you which specific activity is driving your schedule risk. In Plan IQ 2.7, clicking a bar instantly highlights that activity in the Gantt chart below—a feature missing in 2.6.

Step 5: Generate the Report Click File > Generate Report. Select "Executive Summary" and "DCMA Compliance." Export to PPTX. Done.
