Search Like a Berean!

Often one needs a quick way to find a specific word or phrase in the Bible. Bible Analyzer makes this easy with the Quick Entry which is in the main Toolbar. Quickly search for words and phrases with results displayed in a table display under its own tab. View either the whole verse or in single line "concordance" view. Also, there is a concise, one page graphical display of all search "hits" in every Bible chapter with a convenient popup of the verses on mouseover, and a click will take you there in the Bible Panel (see image)!

Need more power? Advanced Search is your answer. With it you can do Proximity Searches, Related Verse Search, Context Search, Library Search and even Regular Expression Searches with wildcard and other options. Plus, search results can be exported via the Advanced Concept Filter.

Quick Bible Navigation

Getting around in the Bible with Bible Analyzer is a "piece of cake." You can use the Quick Entry and begin typing a reference to select from a list. You can select a chapter from the Bible Tree by either drilling down or by right-click. Plus with more quick keys and shortcuts navigating from chapter to chapter is a charm.

To make a verse the Active or Current Verse simply click on its reference and it will be highlighted and also cause the Reference Panel and Commentaries to instantly update to that verse. Plus, The Bible Panel has an extensive right-click Context Menu that will allow you to do many things with the Bible text.

Resident Evil -usa- -disc 1- May 2026

Yes—but with context. If you are a zoomer who started with Resident Evil 7, playing "Resident Evil -USA- -Disc 1-" will feel like moving through molasses while fighting the controller. However, if you are a student of game design, retro computing, or horror history, this disc is a time capsule.

Load it up. Choose Jill (for the extra inventory slot). Grab the sword key. And remember: When you hear the dog crashing through the window, don't scream. Smile. You are experiencing history.

Have you played the original USA Disc 1? Do you prefer the uncut tank controls or the modern remakes? Let us know in the comments. And don't forget to save your Ink Ribbon—you only get three.

If you have a physical copy of Resident Evil -USA- -Disc 1- that won't boot, here is the troubleshooting guide: Resident Evil -USA- -Disc 1-

| Symptom | Likely Cause | Solution (Physical) | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Console resets to BIOS | Disc cannot read the SLUS_002.22 header. | Resurface the disc. | | FMV stutters badly | The inner ring data layer is failing. | Skip FMV via Start button. | | "Please insert PlayStation CD-ROM" | The anti-piracy wobble groove is worn. | This specific US disc has a unique wobble frequency. Try a PS2 instead. | | Music stops in the Guardhouse | Redbook audio track 12 is scratched. | Replace the disc; that audio track is un-skippable. |

Why do emulators and disc lists specifically call out "USA" and "Disc 1"? The answer lies in the fragmentation of the 1990s game market.

The data stored on this compact disc contains the opening salvo of the Umbrella Corporation’s downfall. As the disc spins up, players are introduced to the S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) Alpha Team. What begins as a search for missing Bravo Team members in the remote Arklay Mountains quickly devolves into chaos. After a brutal attack by feral, mutated dogs (the infamous Cerberus), the surviving members—Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, and Albert Wesker—flee into a seemingly abandoned mansion. Yes—but with context

This disc houses the entire first half of the nightmare. From the moment the player steps into the dining room and witnesses the first zombie turning away from its half-eaten victim, Disc 1 establishes the game’s core loop: exploration, resource management, and dread.

Why obsess over Resident Evil -USA- -Disc 1- specifically? Because it represents the "hard" difficulty intended for American audiences. Japanese players received a version with auto-aim by default and a lighter save system. The USA disc demanded that you master the tank controls or die.

Furthermore, this specific disc fetches $80-$150 on eBay depending on the condition of the "jewel case" hinges. A sealed copy sold for $4,200 in 2023 precisely because it was the first variant—-USA- -Disc 1- —the one that introduced Western players to the horror of the first zombie looking back over its shoulder. Modern players often mock the original’s tank controls

Survival Horror Capcom PS1 PlayStation Raccoon City Zombies S.T.A.R.S. Jill Valentine Chris Redfield T-Virus

Modern players often mock the original’s tank controls. However, playing "Resident Evil -USA- -Disc 1-" on original hardware (via a CRT television or a Retrotink upscaler) reveals that the awkward controls were a design feature, not a bug.

The fixed camera angles on Disc 1 are deliberately disorienting. The moment you switch from the hallway to the "L-shaped" dining room, the controls rotate 90 degrees. This friction creates the panic that defines the franchise. Later re-releases (like the Nintendo DS port or the PC version) smoothed these edges, ruining the tension. The USA Disc 1 is the "harsh teacher" of video games.

Plus, we have unique resources such as the Exhaustive Library of Bible People and Exhaustive Library of Bible Locations. Visit the Store to see how you can enhance your library.

Unique Features & Titles

Bible Analyzer has important features that are not found in any other software. For instance, our Authorized Version, People Edition and Exhaustive Library of Bible People titles have every individual in the Bible tagged with a unique ID to make searching for individuals apart from their name possible. For example, there are six different Marys in the Scriptures. With the titles above one is able to search for any one of the Marys at the exclusion of all others! Also all pronouns in the NT are tagged to its individual, plus every pronoun of deity throughout the Bible is also tagged. This makes some very inventive and revealing searches possible.

If one does a search for Jesus and eternal life in a typical Bible software program, many key instances would be missed, including John 3:16 (!!), because there are many verses where the Lord is not mentioned by name. But with Bible Analyzer, the AVp, and ExLBP, they all can be easily found.

This is just one example of the power and versatility of Bible Analyzer.

The King James Bible

Although many other Bible versions are available in Bible Analyzer, it is built around the Authorized King James Bible of 1611. That the KJV (called AV in Bible Analyzer) is still being published over 400 years later is a wonder in itself. Even after all these years it is still the Bible of choice for millions and clearly has the blessing of God upon its words.

The 1611 Edition

Several years ago in celebration of the King James Bible's 400th anniversary we developed the most complete digital edition of the 1611 edition in existence. It has all the original headings, notes, cross-references, alternate readings and spelling. A dedicated brother typed it all by hand and proof read it TWICE...and it is a FREE BA download.
