Solution: This is often a bandwidth issue. UPAEP recommends a minimum of 5 Mbps upload/download. Reset your router or use an ethernet cable. Avoid taking exams on UPAEP’s public Wi-Fi in the Biblioteca Central during peak hours (12 PM – 2 PM).

Even the best tech fails. Here are the most frequent issues reported by UPAEP students and how to solve them.

  • Solution: Give Respondus permission. On Mac, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and ensure Respondus is toggled ON. On Windows, ensure your antivirus isn’t blocking the camera.

    Some UPAEP professors enable Respondus Monitor, which uses your computer’s webcam to record you during the exam. This is common for final exams or high-stakes quizzes. Solution: This is often a bandwidth issue
