Nothing is more frustrating than launching Smash Bros. to see a black screen or a message saying "Save data could not be read." Here are the new solutions for 2024-2025 Yuzu forks:

Subject: [Request] Looking for a new Save Data file for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Yuzu)

    Body: Hi everyone,

I recently set up Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Yuzu, but I’m looking for a "new" or early-game save file. My previous save got corrupted, and I don't want to replay the World of Light mode from the very beginning.

If anyone has a clean save file (ideally right after the start or with a few characters unlocked), could you please share it?

I’m using the latest version of Yuzu. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Before you start moving files, you must understand how Yuzu organizes data. Unlike a physical Switch, Yuzu creates virtual copies of the Switch’s internal storage.

Search for "SSBU 100% save Yuzu" or "Ryujinx save converter." Pro tip: Ensure the save file is for Update 13.0.1 or higher (the final Sora patch). Older saves may crash the game.

In newer Yuzu builds, this setting causes save corruption on launch for Smash.
