As of late 2025, Unisoc has started locking NVRAM on their newer T820 and T770 chips. The "new Spreadtrum IMEI repair tool" community is reverse-engineering these locks. Expect version 6.0 by Q1 2026. For now, avoid updating your phone’s security patch beyond November 2024 if you want easy IMEI repair access.
