Myth 1: "The manual is for professionals only." False. Suzuki writes these for dealership mechanics, but the language is standardized. If you can read "Remove the 8mm bolt" and understand a cross-section diagram, you are qualified.
Myth 2: "A generic Clymer manual covers the UZ125." Partially true. Clymer produces a "Suzuki 125cc Scooters" manual. However, a generic manual often lumps the UZ125, AN125 (Burgman), and UH125 together. This is dangerous. The UZ125 has a unique swingarm setup and CVT cooling duct. Always use the model-specific OEM Suzuki manual.
Myth 3: "The 2020 UZ125 is different from the 2010 manual." In most markets (excluding India-specific models like the Access 125), the global UZ125 "Address" used the same engine architecture from 2006 until the introduction of fuel injection. If you have a carbureted model, the 2006-2016 manual works fine. If you have an EFI model, you need the later supplement. The UZ125 forks are "dampener rod" type
