Even with a repack, Oblivion on modern systems needs tweaks. Apply these for a stable experience: The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion - -DODI Repack-

Every DODI Repack includes a crack—often a simple .exe replacement that bypasses DRM. But the crack for Oblivion does more than remove copy protection. It re-enables the console (~ key). It allows tgm (toggle god mode). It permits player.additem 0000000F 100000 (gold, meaningless, because gold in Oblivion is also meaningless once you realize you can duplicate it with scrolls). Negative:
The crack is a covenant between the player and the machine: You may break this world. You may climb mountains with paintbrushes. You may kill an essential NPC and break the prophecy. We will not stop you.
In the official version, these are bugs. In the repack, they are features—features that a 2006 QA tester, exhausted and underpaid, left in because they were fun. The DODI Repack honors that exhaustion.
