While prior scholarship has examined the virality of political memes (Lestari, 2020) and the spread of health misinformation (Wijaya & Prasetyo, 2021), comparatively little attention has been paid to the dynamics of adult‑oriented viral content in Indonesia—a nation where cultural norms around sexuality remain contested. This study therefore fills a gap by situating VCS Cici within broader debates about digital sexuality, consent, and the economics of attention.


The VCS Cici video case demonstrates that viral adult‑oriented content can achieve massive diffusion through a combination of algorithmic amplification, influencer participation, and culturally resonant sexual metaphors. While the clip sparked discussions of empowerment, it also raised legitimate concerns about consent, privacy, and age‑appropriate exposure.
