A genuine, non-malicious vcspc.dll file should be found in the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter Server\
or
C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter Server\
It may also appear in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Server\
Important: If you find vcspc.dll in C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\SysWOW64, it is likely either a misplaced file, a relic from an improper uninstall, or potentially malware disguising itself. Legitimate VMware DLLs rarely install directly into Windows system folders.
There are three primary reasons why this DLL might fail:
A variant of vcspc.dll was found dropped by a fake "Zoom Installer." The DLL did not export any functions (zero export table) but executed a reflective loader that downloaded XMRig miner from a Pastebin URL. The file was named vcspc.dll to mimic VIA drivers and avoid suspicion.

If you no longer use VMware but still see vcspc.dll errors:

Not recommended. Deleting it will break audio or modem functionality on Conexant-based hardware. If you no longer use the Conexant device, uninstall the driver properly via Device Manager.
Right-click vcspc.dll → Properties → Digital Signatures. Ensure the signer is Conexant or Synaptics and the certificate is not expired.
