The vMix Universal Title Controller (often abbreviated as UTC) is a third-party HTML/JavaScript-based controller. Unlike vMix’s native "Title Editor" (which requires direct clicking inside the vMix interface), the UTC acts as a bridge. vmix universal title controller free

It connects to vMix via the built-in HTTP API (Application Programming Interface). Once connected, it scans your vMix production for titles and presents you with a clean, customizable web form. You fill out the form, hit "Update," and your lower third changes instantly.

Because it runs inside a web browser, it works on:

  • Create UDP listener on port 5000 mapped to action A; parse incoming JSON payload.
  • From external device, send UDP packet: "name":"Alex Smith","role":"Host" to UTC:5000.
  • Lower-third displays automatically.

  • Communication Protocol: vMix HTTP API (no authentication needed if vMix’s Web Controller is enabled).
