The version 1.6.0 update is the final official patch released for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is considered mandatory for the complete experience. If you are playing a base version (v1.0) or an older patch, updating to 1.6.0 is highly recommended.

If no prompt appears:
If you are on a Nintendo Switch: You already have the best version (1.5.0) if you auto-update. Do not bother hunting for a 1.6.0 patch—it does not exist publicly.
If you are on Cemu Emulator: You need the 1.5.0 update plus the resolution graphics pack. Searching for "160" will lead you to forums that use shorthand notation. Install the final official update (v1.5.0) and then set your resolution to 1600p or 2560x1600.
