The Zeus Z3 Digital Lock Manual operates on a classic hierarchy. You must set the Master Code before doing anything else. The default factory master code is usually 12345678 or 00000000 (check your sticker).

Before closing the battery cover, use the manual thumb turn. If the deadbolt does not extend and retract smoothly, loosen the rear panel screws slightly and realign the spindle.
