Connect your PC directly to LAN port 1 of the ZTE F689. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.1. Log in using the telecomadmin credentials above.

  • In bridge mode, the F689 stops acting as a router and simply converts the fiber GPON signal to Ethernet (or VLAN-tagged Ethernet) — functioning as a pure Layer 2 bridge. Key changes:

    After bridging, your personal router (e.g., Asus, MikroTik, pfSense) gets the public IP from the ISP directly, handles all routing, and avoids double NAT.
