The story follows Frank (Elijah Wood), a withdrawn mannequin store owner with a traumatic past. Elijah Wood delivers a career-defining performance that is miles away from the gentle Frodo Baggins. Because the camera rarely shows his face, his performance is almost entirely vocal and physical. Despite the grimy subject matter, the cinematography is beautiful in a twisted way.
