Critical warning: Never rely only on save states. Always keep at least one memory card save.


By default, PCSX2 stores save files in the "sstates" (for Save States) and "memcards" (for Memory Cards) folders inside your PCSX2 installation directory.

However, the location changes depending on your operating system and whether you selected "Portable Mode" during installation. pcsx2 save files location work


On Linux systems (including the Steam Deck), the location depends on how you installed the emulator (Flatpak vs. AppImage).
