Follow this sequence exactly to avoid corrupted saves or missing gallery images.

Run Dreamer.exe as Administrator. You should see the title screen featuring Charlie in the neon-drenched dream corridor. If you see a pink screen instead, your DirectX drivers are outdated. Most failed installations happen here
