Before beginning the installation, the host PC must be configured correctly.

Open MT6765_Android_scatter.txt. Example snippet:

Change is_download: true to false to skip flashing the boot partition. Never change linear_start_addr unless you are repartitioning the entire eMMC.

  • Do NOT touch the phone or the cable.
  • Critical Warning: If the process stops at Red Bar (0% or 2%), you have a driver issue. Reinstall drivers and try a different USB port.

    • Error: "STATUS_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL"

    Error: "S_BROM_DOWNLOAD_DA_FAIL"

    The phone is dead (No LED, No screen) after flashing.

    Click on "Options" → "Download" and ensure:

    Why choose the scatter method? When your device won’t boot into recovery or fastboot, the 6765 scatter file install is the only way.

    The scatter file is always bundled inside the stock ROM zip. Never download a standalone "scatter file" from random forums unless you absolutely trust the source. Instead:

    Warning: Some custom ROMs or "ported" firmwares may contain a modified scatter file. Always verify the first line: $ddr_map: dram_576M or similar for MT6765.
